In February 2026 we enter our thirtieth (30!) year of weekly Buddhist Sangha meetings together. Our first meeting was set to coincided with ascending of a new moon on the night of the Lantern Festival - which is dedicated Kuan Yin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Because of this, an exact date and time can be confirmed! Lantern Festival always coincides with the rising of the first full moon in the Lunar/Chinese new year, which occurs on the first new moon in the new lunar year.
